VOLUNTEER
“Stewardship for Tomorrow”
Help protect Whatcom County’s natural heritage now. We need your help. Land stewardship is a community effort. The Land Trust depends on the volunteer services and financial contributions of our members and others to protect our natural legacy. Here are some of the ways you can support the Land Trust:
- Becoming a member
- Inviting us to speak to your business or service club
- Volunteering your time and talents
- Providing referrals to interested landowners
- Tell us about the wildlife you see when visiting our publicly accessible properties.
By the year 2015, it is estimated that Whatcom County’s population will reach 212,000. Increased population and growth will place enormous amounts of pressure on our local farms, forests, and waterfront property. Your membership will help protect Whatcom County’s natural heritage now. It is easy to become a member. We welcome both membership contributions and donations. Your gift will help local landowners conserve farmland, shoreline, wildlife habitat, and other special places in Whatcom County. We are not funded with taxpayer dollars. The Whatcom Land Trust is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Your membership contribution is important for the Land Trust to continue this work. Contributions are tax deductible and deeply appreciated. Please make checks payable to Whatcom Land Trust (WLT).
