PROJECTS

The end of December 2008 saw the Whatcom Land Trust’s conservation properties total 123 parcels covering over 9,775 acres. Additionally, we have assisted in governmental acquisition of another 1300 acres for conservation purposes. Our conservation properties include:  22.5 miles of  riverfront, 7.5 miles of saltwater shoreline, 700 acres of ancient forest, and over 1,000 acres of Lake Whatcom watershed. Additionally, 11 county parks have been created, and 4 future park sites acquired.
