Saturday, January 28th, Kelsey, 9am-12pm *NOTE CHANGE IN LOCATION*
Head out to Ferndale, where we will be joining the Washington Native Plant Society to do restoration work at our Kelsey Property, a forested former homestead. We will be removing invasive morning glories, as well as doing maintenance on recently planted native trees. Directions are as follows: From Bellingham, head north on I-5 and take exit 262 towards Ferndale (Main Street towards City Center). Continue on Mountain View Road. Turn right (north) onto North Star Road. Travel a few miles until you find 6329 N. Star Road on the left. Look for Whatcom Land Trust Signs.
Saturday, February 11th, Rutsatz Salmon, 9am-12pm
Jon us at the Nooksack confluence for a morning of restoration work at our Rutsatz Salmon property. We will be removing invasives and checking up on recent tree plantings. Driving Directions: Drive east on Mt. Baker Hwy past Deming. Turn right and travel south on SR9 towards Sedro Woolley for ½ mile. Cross the North Fork Bridge and turn left on Rutsatz Road. Travel east for ¾ mile. The property is on the north side of the road. Access through the gate at the field. Look for WLT signs.
Saturday, February 25th, Fenton, 9am-12pm
Come help out at our Fenton property, an important wildlife habitat located southeast of Blaine. We will be planting native trees as part of an ongoing effort to restore this wetland preserve. Driving Directions: From Bellingham, travel north on I-5. Take Lynden-Birch Bay Road exit. Turn east, then turn left on Valley View Road. Travel north approximately 2 miles to McGee Road (gravel road). Property is on east side of Valley View and north of gravel McGee Road. Look for WLT Signs.
