The Whatcom Conservation District’s is hosting  their 17th Annual Native Plant Sale & Expo on March 20th at the Whatcom Community College.  This is a great opportunity to beautify your backyard and preserve our natural resources at the same time!  Planting native trees and shrubs provides many benefits, including improved water quality, less erosion of soil by wind and water, and improved fish and wildlife habitat.  Seedlings are of hardy stock and are the right size to fit in the trunk or back seat of your car.
